All good things must come to an end — and that brings us to the Toyota Supra.
As its name suggests, the Final Edition marks the end of the road for the fifth generation of the Toyota Supra. Fortunately, the Japanese automaker promises a spectacular and finely tuned farewell.
The Return of an Icon
The Toyota Supra has long been one of the most legendary Japanese sports cars in history, known for its immense potential. It gained massive popularity in the early 2000s following the release of The Fast and the Furious. Unfortunately, production of the model was discontinued in 2002.
It took nothing less than 17 years for Toyota to bring back the Supra, with the fifth-generation model finally hitting the market in 2019. The revival was made possible thanks to BMW, as the Supra shares its platform with the BMW Z4. That collaboration also allowed the car to retain a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder turbocharged engine.
The success of the fifth-gen Supra wasn’t limited to the road — it also achieved major victories in various racing disciplines around the world.
Enhanced Performance
The Toyota GR Supra Final Edition MkV will boast 382 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque. Toyota’s engineers have fine-tuned the braking system, chassis, and suspension to deliver a more precise and responsive driving experience — sure to please Supra enthusiasts.
The Japanese sports car also receives new 19-inch wheels and a carbon fiber rear spoiler. Several other aerodynamic enhancements have been added to the body for improved performance.
As if that weren’t enough, engineers took it a step further with a GT4 Style package, available in two colors: Smoke White and Stealth Black.
What’s Next?
We expect to learn the pricing range for the limited-edition 2026 GR Supra Final Edition later this year. Unfortunately, it’s still unknown how many units will be allocated to Canada, but it’s safe to say this version will be highly exclusive.
As for what comes next, Toyota hasn’t made anything official. We don’t yet know if there will be a sixth-generation Supra, or if the Japanese automaker will shift its focus to a different sports car altogether.
